Wood Buffalo Regional Science Fair – April 4/5, 2008 

Keyano College and CCC have partnered to bring the 1^st Annual Regional ScienceFair to students grade 4 to 12 in the Wood Buffalo Region. The winners from grades 7 to 12 may have the opportunity to advance to the national competition. 

Wood Buffalo Regional Skills Competition – April 25/26, 2008 

In partnership with the Wood Buffalo Region’s high schools and Keyano College, Students complete in 10 different competition areas for this years competition. Gold Medal winners will go on to complete in the Provincial Skills Competition in Edmonton.The World Skills Competition will be held in Calgary 2009. 

Hands-On-Career-Day – October 2008 

In partnership with Keyano College the 5^th Annual Hands-On-Career-Day will host. Students from the Wood Buffalo Region’s high schools to experience Hands-On-Careers in a shop, classroom, or lab environment. This event has grown from 60 students in 7career areas at its inception in 2004 to over 125 students and 15 different career choices in 2007. 

Bringing the experts to you – December 2008 

The 2^rd Annual Bringing the experts to You, youth career conference was a success. In total, 152 students and their parents came to hear 48 experts to speak about a wide variety of occupations. We expanded career areas this year to ensure we encompassall three high school programs into the scope of the event.
